Job Duties
·
Inspect and assess tires for
tread depth, wear patterns, damage, air pressure levels, and valve condition
using appropriate tools and gauges.
·
Perform tire services
including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotation using tire machines
and computerized wheel balancers.
·
Repair tires by patching
punctures and replacing defective valves in accordance with safety standards.
·
Conduct wheel alignment
procedures and adjust suspension components as required using alignment
equipment.
·
Perform basic vehicle
maintenance including oil and filter changes, fluid checks (engine oil,
coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid), and lubrication of moving parts.
·
Inspect brake components
(pads, rotors, calipers) and identify wear or safety concerns for further
service recommendations.
·
Install and replace
automotive components such as mufflers, exhaust systems, shock absorbers, and
radiators as required.
·
Operate diagnostic equipment
(e.g., TPMS tools, scan tools) to identify tire pressure monitoring system
issues and reset sensors.
·
Document all services
performed, parts used, and observations on work orders and report any
additional mechanical issues to management.
·
Maintain a clean, organized,
and safe work environment in compliance with workplace health and safety
standards.
·
Ensure proper handling and
storage of tools, equipment, and materials, including tires and hazardous
substances.
Job Requirements
·
Minimum 1 year of hands-on
experience as a Tire Technician or in a similar automotive service role.
·
Valid driver’s license with
a clean driving record.
·
Ability to operate tire
service equipment, including tire changers, wheel balancers, and alignment
machines.
·
Familiarity with basic
automotive systems, including tires, brakes, suspension, and fluid systems.
·
Experience using diagnostic
tools, such as scan tools and TPMS programming devices.
·
Basic computer skills for
entering service records and work orders.
·
Ability to lift heavy tires
and equipment and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced
environment.
·
Strong attention to detail
with a focus on safety and quality of work.
·
Ability to work effectively
both independently and as part of a team.
· Basic English communication skills (spoken and written) to understand instructions and complete documentation.
Wage & Hours:
·
$20.00 per hour
·
35 to 40 hours per
week
·
Overtime starts
after 44 hours of work per week
