Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling and cashiering, with a strong focus on sanitation and food safety standards. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, POS systems, and customer service while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Serve customers efficiently at the counter, ensuring quick and friendly service
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
  • Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels at the counter station
  • Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation and food service operations
  • Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Cash handling accuracy and basic math skills for transactions
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the restaurant industry
