Precious Early Years Childcare is looking for a Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Educator to work with us at our facility located at 826 20th Street, New Westminster, BC. We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, and most importantly, understand children’s growth and development and enjoying working with them.

 

Title: Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Educator
Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Wage: CAD 37.00 per hour (ECE wage enhancement included)
Hours of Work: At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of each pay, professional workshops paid by the center
Location: 826 20th Street, New Westminster, BC V3M 4W8

Requirements:

·         Valid Early Childhood Education Licence (5 years)

·         College certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field

·         Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as an Early Childhood Educator

·         Previous supervisory experience in licenced childcare or early learning setting

 

Main Duties:

·         Supervise, assign and review the work activities of other early childhood educators

·         Train new early childhood educators

·         Ensure a healthy and safe environment in which the children can interact

·         Plan and implement programs in accordance with the curriculum

·         Build feelings of security and trust in children, and monitor their daily activities

·         Maintain a friendly relationship with children and their parents

·         Observe children for any signs of emotional problems and learning disabilities

·         Share information regarding the learning progress of children with parents and other educators

·         Talk, sing, and read to children
